How it works
Pick a GIF or drop it on the page. Your browser decodes every frame, shrinks it to a grid of characters, and picks a character for each cell based on its brightness. Frame timing comes straight from the GIF, so the animation plays at the same speed as the original.
All of this happens on your device, in a background thread, so the page stays responsive even with large GIFs. There's no server to upload to.
